Weekly Wrap Up #29

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Current Reads

The Happy Prince & Other Stories

Grave Memory

Haven’t made any progress on either of these books this week – BUT I’m aiming to finish them by the end of the month 🙂

Caraval (Caraval, #1)

I’m just under the 200 page mark now and I’m actually enjoying it, it’s better than I expected that’s for sure.

Around in BookTube

Sometimes I dive into the BookTube world – when I do and I find anything you guys may enjoy I’ll link it below. Again, if you’re BookTuber and a Book Blogger or just a BookTuber then feel free to tweet me or DM me on twitter with a link to one of your videos you’d like me to watch.

Early on this week I watched Hailey in Bookland’s reading vlog, now that I’m all caught up. If you were wondering – she posts weekly reading vlogs on Monday’s along with other videos. HUGE TRY ON HAUL | Reading Vlog: April 9-15

Life Updates

Don’t ever try and post everyday on your blog – it’ll eventually sneak up on you and haunt you. Hence there being no post on Saturday and only the book tag on Weds. I’m going to see what schedule I can come up with for May. I’m thinking of creating a back log of book reviews though, so I can have them go up consistently throughout June.

As for my week, it was back to college which was fun…I know I’m a weird one but I do have a habit of just not leaving my house ever. So that was fun, I also finished my motion graphics assignment. It’s on YouTube but it is unlisted so if you want to see it you’ll have to click here to watch it. It’s short, but I drew the graphics and animated. It’s pretty much a trailer for this blog.

Also I discovered thanks to Sophia @ Bookwyrming Thoughts this app called Habitica which is an app geared towards helping you be more productive. It’s gamified though which is cool, it’s also a website so the link to the website is here if you’re interested.

Friday was one of my best friends birthday and I was at hers for a sleepover and also at the party which was a blast. So that was fun – different though since I’m not typically a party person. It’s also been super hot here in England…I’m not happy about it either. I want my winter back haha.

I’ve also started writing out and planning stuff for May because I love scheduling stuff ahead of time…although I do need to finish two posts for this week I think.

    • Aaah Grave Memory is book 3 in a series – the first book is Grave Witch. You also reminded me that I forgot to link in the website link to the app I mentioned…ooopsies. But it is awesome! Hope you have a great week 🙂

  1. It has been a good reading week for me! But not such a good writing week on my blog. But next week will be better ☺️ I will also have to check that productivity app out! ( And thank you for linking to my review! )

  2. Caraval is one I’d like to read, glad it’s good so far! It has a fun premise. 🙂 Habitica sounds awesome, I’ll definitely be checking out that website.

Oh and good luck with the scheduling too- I love being ahead like that, it takes lot of pressure off! Have a great week!

  3. I had the same happen with Caraval – wasn’t so sure at first, but then ended up loving it 😍 Sounds like you had a nice week!! 😁 I haven’t managed to get any blogging done, oops… I’m starting to think someone stole my brain along with all my free time 😂 Happy being back to college!!!

  4. Yay, so so happy to see you’re enjoying Caraval! I can’t wait to read a review (if you write one!) ♥ I definitely sympathize with the struggle of figuring out how often you want to post. I’m so impressed you manage to have new content every day—I know I never could. I’m sure with a little experimentation you’ll discover what works best for you…and we’ll all be here to read it whether you post once a day or once a month! ♥ Hope you have a wonderful week, Clo!

    • Awww thank you that’s so kind, I’ve started planning out my May schedule and I’ve got no posts on weds and sat so I’m going to see how that works for me.

I’ll probably write a review but it won’t be up till June as I’m creating a back log of reviews haha. Hope you have an amazing week too JJ ❤

  5. Thank you so much Chloe! Glad you loved the post 🙂
Can’t wait for the next Bookworms Explained! Hope college goes well for you and it’s been pretty sunny where I live too. ughh I want breezy and cloudy days, that’s simply the best kind of weather

  6. Thank you for sharing my post again 🙂 oh yeah, you should definitely give yourself a break with that schedule! A backlog of reviews really does work fine a lot of the time 🙂
I’m still not clear on the Habitica though. I am still working it out what I want there 😀

    • Ahaha yeah I think I will, backlog of reviews is the way I’m gonna go now xD

Habitica you can literally use it for any to do lists, habits and daily/weekly/monthly tasks you want to do 🙂
