Look at me, I finally got round to doing another tag haha. I found this tag over at Becca’s blog becandbones which you should totally check out, it’s a lovely blog 🙂
Reading on the Bed or the Couch?
I find it super awkward to read on my bed. Like hello?! I can never get comfy, I’m always switching position which is annoying. I tend to read downstairs in the chair next to the window or in my bedroom I sit on my bean bag, throw my duvet over me lean against my bed and basically make a den so I can read. It’s super comfy too.
Male Main Character or Female Main Character?
I’m not overly bothered, but I do read a lot of books where the main character is female. I guess it’s down to me being able to relate to the main character easier since I’m also female haha.
Sweet Snacks or Salty Snacks While Reading?
NEITHER I DON’T WANT TO DAMAGE MY BOOK! For real though, I don’t snack and read I just can’t. I’ll drink whilst reading though. But no food.
Trilogies or Quartets?
Trilogies because it’s 3 books and 3 is an odd number. *looks innocent* what? I have a thing against even numbers. I do like quartets though but sometimes they’re better off being a trilogy.
First Person POV or Third Person POV?
It doesn’t bother me nowadays. If it’s well written the third POV gets forgotten and I tend to think it’s in first POV. I used to find it hard to read third person POV because I couldn’t always connect to the characters now though, it doesn’t bother me.
Reading At Night or in the Morning?
Haha morning? What’s the morning? I’m not joking, I literally only get up early when I have college and my idea of ‘early’ is 9:30 *snorts* yeah I know it’s basically a lie in for everyone else. Anyway I prefer to read at night or in the evening. The ‘morning’ and afternoon I’m usually writing.
Libraries or Bookstores?
Both. Look I love both, libraries are super useful because I can happily browse and take out a bazillion books that I’m obviously going to read straight away. Bookstores are amazing and I feel at home walking into either place. That reminds me…it’s weird how when you walk into a bookshop or library you feel safe and at home. Or is this just me? *chuckles softly*
Books that make you Laugh or made you Cry?
I cry when I laugh a lot soooo it doesn’t matter either way I’ll still cry. I like both but erm preferably laugh because headaches from sobbing over character deaths and ruined OTP’s don’t help.
Black Book Covers or White Book Covers?
I’m an avid paranormal reader. And for some bizarre reason 90% of paranormal books are black covers or really dark covers. I have a lot of paranormal books so the darkness of the book covers kinda shuts down the brightness you get from my contemporaries and other books. I will say though the Throne of Glass series, the white covers *sighs happily* I love them so much. It’s so satisfying, and they’re embossed and shiny and wow I’m a magpie. Who knew.
Character Driven or Plot Driven books?
Character. Plot driven is alright as long as there’s a balance with the characters, otherwise you end up totally lost about who the characters are. I also love character arcs, watching them grow it’s a proud moment.
