Creatures of the Night ~ Book Tag

This tag was found here but Katy from Katytastic on BookTube created this tag, and now I’m finally getting round to doing this tag. Basically for each category you need to choose a book that features the creature.  In the book if I have a favourite of that ‘creature’ I’ll also tell you who it is.

Chicagoland Vampires series by Chloe Neill. I love the vampires is the series, I also love the sorcerers, shifters and so on. I just love this series in general if I’m honest. I love Merit because she loves food, is witty and knows her own mind.

…I don’t think any books come to mind that feature werewolves other than Twilight and The Vampire Diaries. I think I need to sort myself out on that.

Generation Dead by Daniel Waters. Don’t read it. It had so much potential but it was so boring, the pacing was slow and it didn’t have a lot going for it. The whole concept and idea is super cool, how kids aren’t staying dead and it sounded cool. But I didn’t enjoy it – if you don’t mind slow paced books then sure give it a go. I just wanted more from it to be honest.

Shout out to Rachel Caine’s other series Revivalist series – I’m pretty sure that has a zombie aspect to it. Again I need to reread it as I read this series over 5 years ago now.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. If you’ve read the books you’ll know there’s only one character who is a ghost and I do love him. I also need to reread this series soon (I have a lot of series I want to reread)

I consulted with my mum on this one. Because I didn’t want to use the obvious two to me. Chloe Neill’s Devil Isle series features magic and a lot of paranormals as well. Now they’re not called Witches or anything like that. The humans that have this magic are called Sensitives. And I highly recommend this series again, it’s amazing and I can’t believe it ended at book 3. I’m holding out for a book 4 to be honest.

I added on the last spelling variation because it was bugging me haha, but seriously so many variations. I have two options for this, the ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas or The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa. And honestly, I’m going with the Iron Fey series because its an underrated series and Julie’s an underrated author. My favourite character is probably Puck, I love his humor and my heart melts for him. (AND I STILL NEED TO BUY THESE BOOKS SO I CAN REREAD THEM – BUT OTHER BOOKS WERE DISTRACTING ME. I’m not totally mental haha.)

The Demon Trappers series by Jana Oliver. I enjoyed that series a lot, and the demons in there are so rude, sneaky and it’s a great series. If you’re a paranormal fan I recommend this series to you, it’s great.

*coughs* it’s a creature of light. The Shadowhunter books, since the Shadowhunters are half angel it totally counts I think. As for a favourite character within this HUGE series that is ever expanding, and I don’t want it to stop expanding. Probably Emma or Jem. Oh look…I have a soft spot for Carstairs haha.

Erm…no clue. I can’t think of any, but if you can do let me know in the comments as I’ll be interested to see what books have aliens in them.

Superpowered Human

I read Jennifer Rush’s series – the first book is called Altered and again I enjoyed the series. It’s a great series, trilogy at that.

I hope you enjoyed this tag – are any of these books new to you? What books would you have chosen. If you want to find other book tags I’ve done/created HERE is my page with them all alphabetically ordered.

Thank you for reading 🙂
