Sunday Post #13 ~ New Year

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I do intend to write a review for this, I have 3 Review and Discussions I need to get done so I’ll get to it shortly. What I will say is if you have kids, this book is great to read aloud to them. Reading it in your head can be tiring, because its brimming with a huge range of vocabulary, and description. Plus there’s illustrations and they’re so pretty.

I certainly am grateful to my dad for reading this to me when I was little, also because I kept wanting certain parts rereading, I was a pain. It’s 90 pages but it takes a long time to finish a chapter due to the description. Nevertheless I still enjoyed it a lot, and watch out for my RD to hear more of my thoughts.

I’ve been sat on 27 pages for weeks. However I intend to get this read in the new year as it counts towards a challenge, since its a book about time travel and I’ll have read 95% of it in 2018.

life updates

So this week has been weird. We had Christmas on Monday which was great and I had fun in the morning with my family opening presents, I have to say though the game of scramble on Christmas Eve was entertaining though. Christmas for me really the excitement sort of dies after you’ve had the Christmas dinner but then again I’m not cooking it nor do I have kids cheering about it being Christmas.

Anyway the rest of the week has been rather busy, what with me planning out my reading journal for 2018 (my first reading journal at that) along with trying to get posts up before the new year for certain reading challenges, its been  fairly busy, considering I’m also procrastinating most of the time.

2018…wow. We’re nearly there guys, I for one can’t wait for 2018, all the new books to look forward too and the challenges to complete. I also can’t wait because it’s a new year, and a new year means more adventures to be had.  Also the Sunday Post will in the new year be renamed on my blog to Weekly Wrap Up, I’ll still obviously be linking up as usual. And the book blogger hop is also stopping too in the new year as I just don’t really like doing it anymore.

I would also like to say that if you check my twitter on monday, there will be a pinned tweet for any of you lovely book bloggers, to leave a link to a post you’d like me to read and to get linked within the ‘Around the Blogosphere’ section. I decided to do this as one, a way for me to visit more blogs because I’m terrible at doing that. But also because it gives you guys somewhere else for readers to perhaps stumble across your posts. So if you’d like to get linked in, check my TWITTER on monday for the pinned tweet; you could also follow me if you want random tweets at all times of the day about reading, books, and the life of a fangirl.

Happy Reading!

    • Happy New Year! I’m 27 pages into it still! But I do plan on posting a review and discussion when I’ve read it. I’d say from the 27 pages I’ve read so far it’s good, and I have high hopes for it
