Tis ma birthday! I’m officially 17…I was officially 17 at 00:12 but you know who cares about that, I hope you enjoy this tag that I found on Books and Writing Amino. The link to Antonia Always Books who created this wonderful tag.
Birthday Cake: A book with a plot that seems cliche but you adore it anyway
Hmmm lets see The Vampire Acaedmy by Richelle Mead, I mean its got a few cliches in the plot, but despite that and it taking me until the last book to finally ship Rose x Dimitri – I loved it.
Party Guests: Your most anticipated book release for this year
Right well my birthdays nearly at the end of the year so I’m gonna cheat and do next year so it would have to be Wild Hunger by Chloe Neill OR Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare. Wild Hunger being the spin off to her Chicagoland Vampires series which I FREAKING LOVE! In case you didn’t know.
“Happy Birthday” Song: A book that certainly deserved all the hype it got
See this is a toughie, because I don’t pay much attention to the hype and new releases, in fact I remember Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas I read waaaaaay before the hype happened for it. Hmmm I think I’ll have to go with the Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare, the world building is amazing and the characters are so well fleshed out. Also Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows Duology purely because the plot was pulled off so well! And I was not ready for the last book…still not over it to be honest.
Happy Music: A book with some very beautiful and truly memorable quotes
I don’t really remember quotes, I love looking at quotes from books though. I think one book which I have so much respect for the author for would be Soulmates by Holly Bourne. If you haven’t read it, I HIGHLY recommend you do. Whilst its a story about love, its hardly a happy ending. And that is why I have so much respect for Holly. That and her writing is simply amazing.
Getting Older: A book that you read a long time ago, but you think you would appreciate more if you read it as a more mature reader
Oddly enough I think Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine, the 15 book series that I read ages ago would be appreciated more by me now.
Sweet Birthday Memories: A book that kept you incredibly happy during a sad or demanding period of your life
The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare was and is always my go to series when I’m in need of an escape to another home, a world where I feel welcomed with open arms, with characters I wish were real so I could be best mates with them.
Hope you enjoyed this tag, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
