Check out the original post HERE you’re welcome. *eats apple* Yes I’m healthy most of the time, its weird I know, moving past my odd healthiness. Lets begin this tag and see what you can learn about crazy ol’ me.
1. Why did you start this blog?
I needed to talk to someone about books without them just pretending to listen, cause you know that sucks, and I can tell when my friends just nod their heads to be nice. Which is sweet and all, but um…they don’t read really. So yeah, I need bookish buddies and also to be able to put my feels and thoughts down.
2. What are some fun and unique things
you can bring to book blogging?
My sarcasm, dry and sometimes dark sense of humor ummm my awkwardness and unconditional love for tea, hot chocolate and books. I mean its not unique but you know…my opinions could be unique *smirks at self for being smart*^
^ I promise I’ll stop eventually, maybe haha.
3. What are you most excited for about
this new blog?
Meeting new people who understand the emotional trauma we go through at the hands of a paperback, seriously though, my hearts been shattered and fixed too many times to count now. Being able to write out my thoughts and that others will be able to relate, I mean we’re one of a kind us,
bookworms bookdragons are.
4. Why do you love reading?
Its kept me company over the years, being an only child as I am, and having my parents working to you know pay the bills and all the boring but necessary stuff. It meant that they had to find another way to occupy me, and seen as I had no sibling to fight with or play with, books was a good a choice as any. So the characters became my friends when I had none, and they kept me company and entertained when I was bored. So really, you can thank my parents for shoving me towards reading, and now I think they regret it slightly because um…I need a new bookcase. #sorrynotsorry *smiles sheepishly*
5. What book or series got you
Well if I remember correctly my mum already had a mini library for me before I was even born, so I stood no chance anyway. It consisted of Mallory Towers by Enid Blyton and The Famous Five also by Enid Blyton. I read Famous Five by myself, but Mallory Towers was something we read together. And then the Charlie Bone series by Jenny Nimmo is ahem the series I read in replacement of Harry Potter I suppose. To be honest I wasn’t even aware Harry Potter existed at 6, it was when I was 8/9 when I learned about it. And then with my dad there was this series called Enchantica by Andrew Bill, which has the prettiest of pictures and is one of the few series where I actually loved the pictures.
However…me and my dad never did end up finishing this series. So one day soon, I need to finish it. These are the main series that fed my love for books, but as soon as I found books there was no stopping me. My childhood was reading, TV and reading. Oh and dabbling in really bad story telling *hides stories 7 yr old self wrote* haha.
6. What questions would you ask your
Erm…relating to the story probably how they expect us readers to keep buying their books after they’ve killed us with the feels. And writing based how they write the sub plots in and how they set about fleshing out the characters and the world (if fantasy/sci-fi etc)
7. What challenges do you think starting
a blog will be the hardest to overcome?
Finding the time to write the posts and willpower to make cute edits for my featured images. Particularly when I start school again, as my time will be divided between school, reading, writing and the blog. Which is um a lot for my little brain as when I’m in the mood to do one thing, I have to do it, I can’t do something else because I won’t be fully focused on it. So we’ll see what happens.
8. When did you start reading?
Funny story when I was at some play group thing at my grandma’s she said I emptied out this box which had books in, sat in it and pretended to read the books even though at 2/3 I couldn’t read. So you see, I’ve always been a reader.
In terms of actually reading the earliest I remember is 4, school reading was the best thing ever to me, and we used to have show and tell and I’d bring in my books and be so proud of my self when my teacher asked ‘are these new?’ and I was like ‘no they 2yrs old’ or however old they were.
Because I kept my books pristine even then…yup I was that kid as well who loved silent reading, and going out of class in Primary School to do some reading. Actually they used to miss me off the register to do that, because I was already a very apt reader. Biggest annoyance ever, when I wanted to read haha.
9. Where do you read?
Anywhere really, if I have my book I’ll read, honestly I was wishing at my Prom that I could read. But you know I could fit a book into my bag which is a shame otherwise I would have been reading haha.
10. What kind of books do you like to read?
YA. Adult books just don’t do it for me, I’ve read one of two. But in terms of the genres I’ll read most things, although Crime, Thriller aren’t my thing really. I prefer Contemporary, Paranormal, Fantasy, Dystopian as for as fiction goes. I’ve recently gotten into poetry mainly due to me writing poems myself and lyrics. So yeah.
Here are the questions oh so conveniently in one area for you to copy and paste, so you newbies can join in with the tag. If you happen to do this tag, please let me know, I need bookish friends badly before my actual friends disown me for my ranting and fangirling haha.
